Cave of no Return is a two-button twitch arcade game, where you are constantly being chased by a collapsing cave roof. Your 'Runner Girl' runs automatically, but you make her jump or slide out of the way of oncoming obstacles.
The jump and slide of Cave of no Return makes it reminiscent of the iPad version of Mirror's Edge, and of course the retro hit Canabalt. It's more like the latter, especially considering how much you will die! Cave of no Return will kill you over and over again.
The graphics in Cave of no Return are 8-bit and monochrome, and the music is also very retro. The controls are super simple and responsive, as they need to be. Unlike Canabalt where your escaping agent forever accelerates, to accelerate Runner Girl you'll have to slide as much as possible to get a lead on the collapsing cave.
There's nothing complicated about Cave of no Return, but it's an addictive high score chaser. You automatically see online scores as well as local ones, so it can get pretty competitive.
